Alle drei Generationen muss der jeweilige Stammhalter der Rindou-Familie das Hinotsukisai durchführen, eine Zeremonie, die den Wohlstand der Familie für die nächsten Generationen sichert. Nun ist es an Naoto, diese Verpflichtung anzutreten - dazu ist erforderlich, dass eine Frau des Hizuki-Clans sein Kind empfängt. Seine Verlobte Suzune, die eigentlich dafür auserkoren war, verstarb jedoch bei einem tragischen Autounfall. Um nicht beim Oberhaupt in Ungnade zu fallen, wird von Naoto jetzt erwartet, dass er eine andere Partnerin erwählt, da ihm auch nicht mehr viel Zeit bleibt, die Zeremonie durchzuführen.

Als Kandidatinnen kommen neben Yuiko, die allerdings ein Problem mit ihrer Fruchtbarkeit hat, noch deren Schwestern Shino, Ayumi und Mitsuna in Frage. Naoto bändelt mit allen diesen Frauen an, mal mit mehr, mal mit weniger Hemmungen, denn letztendlich arbeitet die Zeit gegen ihn. Aber auch über seine verflossene Liebe Suzune ist er noch nicht hinweg.
