Freezer wollte unbedingt die wahre Kraft von Broly herausfinden. Er erinnerte sich daran, dass sich Son Goku im Kampf gegen ihn in einen Super-Saiajin verwandelt hatte, nachdem er seinen besten Freund Krillin getötet hatte. Die emotionale Bindung Brolys zu seinem Vater Paragus wollte er als Katalysator benutzten, um auch in ihm diese enorme Wut auszulösen, die eine Super-Saiyajin-Verwandlung zu Folge haben kann. Er tötete deshalb seinen Vater, und sein Plan ging auf: Der Legendäre Super-Saiyajin war geboren.
