Alain Rubel galt einmal als bester Trainer für Trapez-Artisten auf der ganzen Welt. Seine letzten Schüler waren die Oswald-Geschwister Leon und Sophie, mit denen er das Training für den geheimnisumwitterten sogenannten »Angel’s Act« aufnahm.

Mittlerweile befindet er sich im Ruhestand und ist völlig desillusioniert. In seiner alten Trainingshalle gibt er sich dem Suff hin und pumpt ehemalige Schüler von ihm um Geld an.
