Daume Co., Ltd. (童夢 = “Doumu” = “child” + “illusion”, the romanised name is to sound French) was a Japanese animation studio founded on the 18th May 1993. Its headquarters were located in Suginami district of the city of Tokyo.
Originally founded as Studio Daume, the name was changed in 1995 when the company was transformed into a corporation. Until 1998 only OVAs were published. Since 1999 the focus has been shifted to anime TV series.
The last known contribution of the studio was to productions being published in the year 2016. Due to the shutdown and later removal of the website in April 2016, it must be assumed that the company was also shut or at least closed its business.
