GENCO, Inc. is a Japanese company in the field of planning and producing animations.
The company was founded as a department of Pioneer LDC (today known as NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan, LLC.) on the 3rd March 1997. In May 2004, GENCO was bought up by TYO and turned into a subsidiary. A year later, on the 12th May 2005, a management buyout took place, leading to the separation from TYO. In March 2007, the company Imagica Robot Holdings, Inc. bought some of the shares of GENCO. Since July 2013, the company has completely belonged to GC Holdings Inc.
