Wakanim DE

Wakanim DE was the German-language offshoot of the French streaming portal Wakanim.

The offshoot was launched in September 2017 and was available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In addition to self-licensed series, the streaming service also offered numerous series and films from the peppermint anime portfolio, as well as individual anime from other publishers. In addition to a subscription for €5 per month, there was also the option to purchase titles (€1 per episode / €10 per cour / €4 per film, all per language version). This purchase option was cancelled for new titles in September 2021.

In winter 2020, Wakanim offered a German simuldub for the first time.

The streaming service was closed on November 3, 2023. Since March 2022, around 3/4 of the Wakanim catalogue has been gradually made available on Crunchyroll.
