Eine Zusammenfassung zweier Geschichten in einem Band:

Geschichte 1:
Nach einem heftigen Streit mit seinem Vater hat Yamada erst einmal die Nase voll von Zuhause. Schnell seine sieben Sachen zusammengepackt, flüchtet er sich in die Schule, um ein paar Tage Gras über die Sache wachsen zu lassen. Dort muss er allerdings ausgerechnet auf Amano-sensei treffen, dem beliebtesten und – zu Yamadas Pech – engagiertesten Lehrer der ganzen Schule, der ihn einfach mit zu sich in die Wohnung nimmt.

Geschichte 2:
Um nach dem Umzug seiner Familie auf der Uni bleiben zu können, bezieht Ikeda das dazugehörige Wohnheim, wo er dem Zimmer von Kazuma zugeteilt wird. Dieser ist zwar ein Genie, aber auch Außenseiter – und das aus triftigem Grund! Seine Persönlichkeit ist nämlich alles andere als liebenswert, weshalb bis jetzt auch keiner seiner Zimmergenossen mehr als fünf Tage mit ihm ausgehalten hat.
