Synopsis

In the near future, everyone will be assigned a marriage partner by the government when they reach the age of 16. The search for the ideal life partner will be spared, and the chance of genetic diseases in children will be reduced as much as possible, so this system is very popular in society.

Yukari Nejima is 15 years old and getting on rather badly with his life. His performance in school and sports is far below average, and he does not seem to be lucky in love either. He has been madly in love with his classmate, the pretty Misaki Takasaki, since his primary school days but has never dared to confess it to her. However, when he finally seems to be getting closer to her on the night before his 16th birthday, he receives the news at the worst possible time that his future wife has long since been set for him. Does this mean that he and Takasaki will never be allowed to be together, despite their feelings for each other? A story full of love and lies.
