Die Menschheit wurde fast vollständig von mysteriösen schwarzen Monstern, genannt Phantoms, ausgelöscht. Vier Menschen haben überlebt und könnten auch gleichzeitig die letzten vier Menschen auf dem gesamten Planeten sein. Diese vier Personen haben sich gefunden und leben nun ein recht ruhiges Leben zusammen. In der Gruppe sind ein Jugendlicher namens Masashi, zwei Mädchen im selben Alter wie Masashi, die etwas schüchterne Sanae und die kühnere Yaeko und zu guter Letzt ein kleines Mädchen genannt Anna. Durch das fröhliche Zusammenleben könnte man beinahe vergessen, dass es keine Menschen mehr gibt, sondern diese einfach beschäftigt sind und jeden Moment wieder auftauchen könnten.
Doch Tage später sehen sie plötzlich komische Dinge und müssen erkennen, dass diese Monster immer noch auf der Erde herumwandern. Werden die vier Überlebenden je herausfinden, was wirklich auf der Erde passiert ist?
