Vor einem Jahrhundert wurde der Welt die Existenz von Magie offenbart. Seit dieser Zeit versucht die Menschheit die Magie als Alternative neben der Wissenschaft auf der Welt zu etablieren. Dies wird jedoch von M.I.S.O. einer geheimen Organisation zu verhindern versucht.

Unsere Geschichte beginnt mit dem Schüler Shouta Hacchouya, der friedlich wie jeden Morgen seine Miso-Suppe essen will, als plötzlich ein Mädchen namens Artemisia durch sein Fenster geflogen kommt. Artemisia wird von einem bewaffneten Helikopter gejagt und zieht Shouta auf ihrer Flucht hinter sich her. Artemisias Schwester, Celestine Edith de Maziere, will sie einfangen, damit sie wieder zurück nach Maziere, dem Geburtsort der Magie, kommt und schickt ihre Dienerin Manuella, um die Aufgabe zu vollenden.
