Asuta Tsurumi ist ein 17 Jahre alter Highschool-Schüler. Er war ein Kochlehrling der im Restaurant „Tsurumi-ya“ arbeitete, welches von seinem Vater geführt wurde. Eines Tages stand das Tsurumi-ya in Flamen und Asuta ging in das brennende Restaurant, um das Santoku-Messer seines Vaters zu retten, dass angeblich die Seele dessen sein soll, der in den Flammen umkam.

Als er hinein ging, war er plötzlich mitten in einem seltsamen Dschungel.
