Osorubeki Kodomotachi ist eine Manga-Adaption des Romans Les Enfants Terribles („Kinder der Nacht“) des französischen Schriftstellers, Regisseurs und Malers Jean Cocteau von Moto Hagio.

Es ist die Geschichte einer jugendlichen Separatwelt. Nach dem Tod des Vaters stirbt kurz darauf auch die Mutter. Paul befindet sich mit seiner Schwester Elisabeth in einem chaotischen Zimmer, indem sie sich in einen Kreislauf aus inzestösen Neigungen, Tagträumen und Realitätsflucht einschließen und kaum noch die Wirklichkeit wahrnehmen. Der plötzliche Tod der Mutter wirft sie vollkommen aus der Bahn. Sie gehen nicht mehr zur Schule und halten sich in ihrem Zwischenreich auf, das dämonische Züge annimmt …
