Obwohl sie seit ihrer Kindheit eng miteinander befreundet sind, ist Touma schon eine lange Zeit zunehmend in Takaya unerwidert verliebt. „Ich möchte seine Prinzessin sein!“; „Er ist mein Held.“ ‒ Obwohl er eine grobe Persönlichkeit und Sprache hat, denkt Touma sehr mädchenhaft und ist jeden Tag von seinem eigenen unterwürfigen Denken und seiner Selbstironie verletzt, vor allem da er seine Liebe nicht zeigen kann. Es wird nur schlimmer, da Takaya sich seit Beginn der Universität eine Freundin besorgt hat und Touma als enger Freund einen regen Kontakt nicht vermeiden kann.
