Synopsis

Overslept! 14-year-old Serena Tsukino just can’t get up and is way too late for class again. Clumsy as she is, she also falls over a black cat on her way to school. When the schoolgirl takes a closer look at the beaten animal, she notices a plaster on its forehead. Curious, Serena pulls it off to reveal a bald spot in the shape of a crescent moon. It turns out that the cat can speak and is called Luna. She is an emissary of the moon and is looking for the legendary Sailor Warriors. Without further ado, she gives Serena a beautiful brooch and tells her that she is the first of them: Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon!

No sooner has the girl transformed herself into the pretty warrior with the help of the magical brooch than she faces her first battle. Her best friend Naru falls into the clutches of evil! The Dark Kingdom sends its demonic servants to suck energy from the humans and to find the Silver Crystal. Bravely and somewhat clumsily, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon plunges into her first battle. Surprisingly, she is not alone: An attractive man in a dinner jacket, Tuxedo Mask, comes to her rescue. In addition, other powerful female warriors join her in the course of time. Together they set out in search of the legendary Princess of the Moon and the Silver Crystal.
