Die Geschichte begleitet das Titanen Test Team und Black Otter Team bei ihrer Mission neue mobile Anzüge für die Titanen zu testen. Alles beginnt mit Eliard Hunter, einem Piloten der Erdförderation, der den Titanen zugeteilt wird. Dort trifft er auf Carl Matsubara, ebenfalls neues Titanen Mitglied, Audrey April, eine erfahrene Pilotin und Chefin der Testoperationen sowie der Datensammlung und Wes Murphy, Veteranen des einjährigen Krieges und dem Delaz Konflikt. Schlussendlich sei aber gesagt, dass das Black Otter Team keinesfalls nur Testläufe durchführt, sondern sich auch echten Kämpfen stellt und unter anderem gegen die Zeon Remnants und später gegen AEUG zeigen muss, was sie drauf haben.
