Nach dem Tod seines Sohnes Ichiro verschwand Dr. Komyoji. 10 Jahre später bittet er seine Tocher Mitsuko um Hilfe. Nachdem er für die DARK Corporation 13 Roboter gebaut hatte, stellte er fest, daß der Konzern diese Roboter mißbrauchen will. Um die Welt vor den Machenschaften von DARK zu beschützen, baute er heimlich einen weiteren Roboter: Jiro. Aber Jiros Schaltkreise sind fehlerhaft. Und DARK hat Dr. Komyojis geheimes Labor entdeckt... hat Jiro eine Chance?

Komyoji Mitsuko fa la ricercatrice di robotica all’università. Riceve una e-mail misteriosa da suo padre, il professor Komyoji, scomparso dieci anni prima. Mitsuko incontra una ragazza misteriosa, Hinano, che dice di essere la sua sorellastra, e insieme, guidate dal messaggio del padre, si recano in un istituto di ricerca, che ha tutto l’aspetto di una casa abbandonata. Ma lì, troveranno ad aspettarle dei mostruosi robot, insieme a un androide di nome 'Jiro', segregato in una stanza sotterranea!
