In un futuro non molto lontano, nella metropoli di Shin sorge la sede della Life Shield, un’azienda addetta alla salvaguardia di soggetti sensibili. Esiste però una sezione segreta: il Death Shield, in cui un gruppo di persone con doni speciali hanno il compito di salvaguardare la vita di individui molto pericolosi, come boss mafiosi, serial killer e addirittura capi di stato ad alto rischio attentati. Kris, il protagonista di questa avventura, si troverà dinanzi alla sua morte ed evitandola sarà costretto a diventare uno di loro.
