»Chogokin MechaGojira« ist eine Kurzgeschichte über die gleichnamige Spielzeugfigur. In dieser sieht der junge Terano einen Film über diese Figur, ist begeistert, wundert sich aber, warum sie so anders aussah als auf dem Begleitprogramm. Die erste Hälfte des Mangas zeigt auch ein Treffen der Filmverantwortlichen, bei dem diese Änderungen besprochen werden.

Zehn Jahre später arbeitet Terano selbst bei Bandai und erhält die Gelegenheit, am Design und Bau der ursprünglich geplanten Figur mitzuwirken.
