Setsuna Kashiwagi ist schwach, wird gemobbt und ist überzeugter Pessimist. Gerade als er sein Leben nicht mehr erträgt und sich von einer Brücke stürzen will, erscheint ein sehr mysteriöser Mann vor ihm. Er bietet ihm in einem Vertrag an, 10 Millionen Yen im Austausch für sein Leben zu zahlen, das er dann im darauffolgenden Jahr einfordert. Zuerst skeptisch über dieses Angebot, akzeptiert Setsuna es schließlich. Als er am nächsten Morgen wieder erwacht, befinden sich zwei hübsche junge Frauen mit ihm im Zimmer. Sie stellen sich als Kanna und Rena vor, Oni Prinzessinnen, die sein Herz essen werden - in genau einem Jahr.
