Description

Rakka is a new “Haibane” – an angel-like being with ash-grey wings on her back and a glowing halo above her head. She hatches from her cocoon in the city of Glie. However, the city is surrounded by a wall with only one entrance or exit and may never be left …

Annotation:
This is a doujinshi by the well-known mangaka Yoshitoshi Abe. It is the basis for the anime “Haibane Renmei”. On the 30th December 2002, another doujinshi, “Old Home no Haibane-tachi: Bangai-hen”, was released, which takes a closer look at Reki’s past.

Rakka ist eine neue »Haibane« – ein engelartiges Wesen mit aschgrauen Flügeln auf ihrem Rücken und einem leuchtenden Heiligenschein über ihrem Kopf –, die in der Stadt Glie aus ihrem Kokon schlüpft. Die Stadt ist jedoch von einer Mauer mit nur einem einzigen Ein- bzw. Ausgang umgeben und darf niemals verlassen werden …

Anmerkung:
Hierbei handelt es sich um einen Doujinshi des bekannten Mangaka Yoshitoshi Abe. Er bildet die Basis für den Anime »Haibane Renmei«. Am 30. Dezember 2002 erschien mit »Old Home no Haibane-tachi: Bangai-hen« ein weiterer Doujinshi, der die Vergangenheit von Reki näher beleuchtet.
