Die 48. Heldenexpedition zur Vernichtung des Dämonenlords ist gescheitert. Die Abenteuergruppe liegt am Boden. Zwei ihrer Kameraden sind schon tot, während die Heldin Filina und der Priester Atty verzweifelt um ihre Leben kämpfen. Da legt der Dämonenlord eine Pause ein und schlägt den beiden einen Handel vor: Wenn Filina dem Dämonenlord ein Jahr lang ihren Körper leiht, kann sich die Party zurückziehen. Selbstaufopfernd stimmt die Heldin Filina zu. Nun kommt Priester Atty eine besondere Aufgabe zu. Er muss den Körper seiner geliebten Kindheitsfreundin beschützten und dem Dämonenlord die richtige Umgangsweise in der Menschenwelt lernen lassen, da sonst die Köpfe von Filina und ihm am Galgen hängen. Über das ungleiche Paar entspinnt sich eine witzig verdrehte Abenteuerkomödie.
