Synopsis

Seok-woo lives with his daughter Su-an in Seoul. For her birthday, Su-an insists on visiting her mother in Busan, who has been living there since her divorce from her husband. After initial resistance, the father now accompanies his little daughter on the journey. The KTX express train is used for the journey. At first, the journey seems to go quite normally, but news gradually reaches the train that there are violent uprisings all over the country, which quickly turn out to be zombie attacks. A bitten specimen has also made it onto the train and is spreading the infection rapidly. Can the few survivors on the train make it to Busan, which is still considered safe?
