Synopsis

In the red-light district Hwan-Hee works successfully as a great magician; his shows are sold well. However, what no one knows is the brutal childhood Hwan-Hee received. As a child he was part of a Chinese magic group under the famous Gwi-Mol, but there he only found violence and antipathy. To flee from the hellish place, he and his friend Bo-Eum boycotted the show of their master, even leaving a great scar on his face. Since then the two of them are on the run. Always living in fear, Hwan-Hee tries to drown this feeling in alcohol and drugs.
On the other hand is young princess Cheong-Myung who is about to be married against her will. So she also runs away and finds herself in the poor districts where she meets Hwan-Hee. Because of a misunderstanding she loses her favourite knife, which gets her in touch with Hwan-Hee once again as he helps her finding it. They begin to like each other, and for the first time in their lives they are feeling happiness, but then Master Gwi-Mol arrives in town …
