Nachdem Dr. Hideki Hongou, Gründer des Future Science Laboratory, beinahe einem Attentat des Wissenschaftsimperiums Desdark zum Opfer fiel, rekrutiert er neben seinem Lebensretter, dem Entdecker und Bergsteiger Kenichi Akama, noch vier weitere Jugendliche, um das Team Dai Sentai Goggle-V zu gründen.
Dr. Hongous Computer Boys & Girls, kurz Comboy, ernennen Kanpei Kuroda, den Präsidenten des Schachclubs an der Touto-Universität, den Eishockeyspieler Saburo Aoyama, den Zoowärter Futoshi Kijima und die Turnerin Miki Momozono zu den restlichen Teammitgliedern. Gemeinsam bilden sie eine schlagkräftige Truppe gegen Desdark, die ihr Hauptquartier auf Schloss Destopia in Deutschland hat.
