Yuriko Tanuma ist Hausfrau und lebt mit ihrem Mann Kazuo, ihren beiden Kindern und ihrer Schwiegermutter Hatsue zusammen. Eines Tages wird Saori, die Frau von Kazuos Freund Masafumi Kusumoto erdrosselt aufgefunden und Kazuo gesteht, dass er eine Affäre mit ihr hatte. Yuriko verdächtigt Kazuo, dass er Saori umgebracht hat, welcher einsieht, dass er nicht abhauen kann und ihr die Tat gesteht, um sich anschließend der Polizei zu stellen. Allerdings hält Yuriko ihn zurück; sie beschließt, seine Tat zu decken, um die Familienidylle zu bewahren. Bevor sie es selbst jedoch spürt, beginnt eine Fremde in ihr in Aktion zu treten, um ihre geliebte Familie zu beschützen.
