Synopsis

Mitsuba Okita has taken care of her younger brother Sougo for years and watched him join the Shinsengumi. When she spontaneously visits the Shinsengumi after a while, the siblings can spend time together again. Because Sougo finds it hard to make friends, Mitsuba is concerned for his well-being. So that she doesn’t worry, he presents her with Gintoki Sakata, who happened to cross his path.

There is a reason for their visit: Mitsuba beamingly announces that she will soon marry the merchant Touma Kuraba. Sougo is happy because he wishes her to live a happy life. He is aware that her days are numbered due to severe lung disease. Thus, Sougo hopes she can still enjoy the little time she has left. Shortly afterwards, however, a nasty suspicion arises, which the Shinsengumi investigates. When Hijikata follows the fiancé, he uncovers his dark secret.
