Description

Since the suicide of his father, Miroku Tachi has been the only man in the household. Especially his mother puts all her hopes in the future of her son, always telling him to be better than his father – but she doesn’t see that Miroku is not able to live up to that. Miroku dreams of becoming a writer and since his move to Tokyo, he has even managed to get some of his short stories published. But even though he has great talent, his stories are lacking something: they seem empty.
This may be the result of his life as a hikikomori (shut-in). So he ends up only “writing” about life instead of actually living it.

One night, he meets the young girl Risa, who is selling herself to a way older man on the streets. Miroku casts the man away, only to find out Risa is part of a group of girls who are professionals in this field. For Risa the job is especially difficult, as she is constantly humiliated by the other members of the group under the lead of Hikaru.

This evokes a very special question in Miroku: “Is it okay to kill a person to achieve a greater good?”.
Thus, he contacts Hikaru and directly uses the chance to learn about “utmost evil” from her to fill up the emptiness of his psychological stories.
