Sasaki Sachiko arbeitet als Redakteurin eines Literaturmagazins, dabei wird sie von ihren Kolleginnen auf Grund ihrer perfektionistischen Art respektiert. Am Tag ihrer Hochzeit verschwindet ihr Freund Shungo spurlos, was eine sprachlose Sasaki zurücklässt.

Am nächsten Tag geht Sasaki wieder zur Arbeit, sie muss jedoch stetig an Shungo denken. Aufgrund dieses Traumas beschließt Sasaki in ein Restaurant zu gehen. Als man ihr ihre Mahlzeit serviert, vergisst sie an Shungo zu denken. Diese Erfahrung führt dazu, dass sie zu einer Kennerin von Gourmetspeisen wird.
