Der rücksichtslose Imperator Exhaus plant eine intergalaktische Rennstrecke für Raumschiffe, die quer durch die Milchstraße verlaufen soll. Die intergalaktische Biker Gang Bowzock zerstört in seinem Auftrag alle Planeten, die dem Streckenverlauf im Weg sind. Dapp, einer der wenigen Überlebenden des von Bowzock zerstörten Planeten Hazard, gelangt auf deren Raumschiff Baribarian als blinder Passagier auf den Planeten Erde, dem letzten Hindernis für Exhaus’ Vorhaben. Dort begibt er sich auf die Suche nach fünf Auserwählten, die mit Hilfe der Car Magic das Heldenteam Carranger bilden sollen und findet diese in der Autowerkstatt Pegasus.

Die 5 Mechaniker Kyousuke Jinnai, Naoki Domon, Minoru Uesugi, Natsumi Shinohara und Youko Yagami kämpfen fortan für den Erhalt des Planeten Erde und Sicherheit im Straßenverkehr.
