Vor 46 Jahren ging Minoru Kurihara in die Berge, um ein paar Fotos zu machen, kehrte aber nie zurück. Nun hat man ihn gefunden, sein Körper ist perfekt im Eis erhalten geblieben. Auf wundersame Weise wacht er wieder auf. Der Kopf des Hurihara-Haushaltes ist nun Norihiko Kurihara, Minorus Sohn, der nun selbst 52 Jahre alt ist. Es gibt auch einen Enkelsohn, Kensuke und eine Enkeltochter, Mai. Die Familie befindet sich in Aufruhr über ihren Großvater, der nun wieder nach Hause kommt und der aussieht wie 25, aber bereits 71 Jahre alt ist.

Zuerst fühlt sich Minoru nicht wohl in seiner Familie, aber mit der Zeit verändert sich dies.
