Yuto geht in die fünfte Klasse der Grundschule und lebt mit seiner jüngeren Schwester Misa und seinen Eltern Sakuro und Keiko zusammen. Seine Eltern betreiben ein Restaurant. Das Leben von Yuto könnte nicht besser laufen. Sein Freund Takashi lebt mit seiner Mutter zusammen, welche ihn jedoch vernachlässigt. Daher laden Yutos Eltern Takeshi meistens zu sich nach Hause zum Abendessen ein. Eines Tages treffen Yuto und Takeshi die beiden Schwestern Michiru und Hikaru. Die beiden Schwestern leben mit ihrem Vater zusammen in einem Auto. Einige Tage später verschwindet ihr Vater jedoch plötzlich spurlos und lässt seine beiden Kinder alleine zurück.
