Synopsis

Will Yam is new to the Hong Kong police force. However, due to his performance at the academy, he doesn’t have to start at the bottom but becomes the new superior of Cham Lau, a veteran police officer. Together they are supposed to find out what’s going on with the severed left hands of young women found recently. It soon becomes clear that this is a series of murders of young women who are not easy to miss – junkies, prostitutes and illegal immigrants.

Lau also lost his unborn daughter in a car accident some time ago, and his wife has been in hospital ever since. He is, therefore, quite angry when he learns that the car thief Wong To – the woman who caused the fatal accident – has been released from prison early for good behaviour. He now wants his revenge, tracks her down and pursues her. Only Will can stop him from doing worse to her. Instead, he persuades Wong to atone for her guilt by helping them with the investigation, as she comes from the same milieu where they suspect the murderer.
