Zoologist Hiyori Soma lives together with his politically ambitious wife Rinko. As an ornithologist, a specialist in birds, he wants to take a ten-day trip to a remote island to study the native species. During this trip, he is completely cut off from the rest of the world and does not witness his wife becoming the country’s first female prime minister – making him the first spouse of a female head of government. As “first gentleman”, Hiyori decides to support his wife as good as possible. However, this often puts him in unwanted situations that he doesn’t quite know how to deal with yet …

Der Zoologe Hiyori Soma lebt zusammen mit seiner politisch sehr engagierten Frau Rinko. Als Ornithologe, der auf Vögel spezialisiert ist, möchte er eine zehntägige Reise auf eine abgelegene Insel tätigen, um die einheimischen Arten zu studieren. Während dieser Reise ist er vom Rest der Welt völlig abgeschottet und bekommt nicht mit, wie seine Frau die erste Premierministerin des Landes wird – und er somit der erste Ehegatte einer Regierungschefin ist. Als »First Gentleman« beschließt Hiyori, seine Frau so gut es geht zu unterstützen. Dies bringt ihn allerdings öfter mal in eine ungewollte Situation …
