Fred Maire war ein deutscher Schauspieler und Synchronsprecher. Seine bekannteste Anime-Rolle war wohl die des Kamaji in „Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland“. In Realfilmen lieh er Mr. Filch in den „Harry Potter“-Filmen seine Stimme. Außerdem sprach Yoda in den Episoden VIII und IX von „Star Wars“ sowie Mr. Spock in „Star Trek Into Darkness“.

Er starb 2020 im Alter von 88 Jahren. Seine Tochter Laura ist ebenfalls Schauspielerin und Synchronsprecherin.
