Eiichirou Oda is a Japanese mangaka.
He gained great popularity through his manga “One Piece”, which began in 1997 and is currently the best-selling manga series of all time, with over 400 million copies sold worldwide. He himself cites Akira Toriyama and his manga series “Dragon Ball” as a major influence and role model.
He is married to the former model Chiaki Inabe. The two met at the Shounen Jump Festival in 2002. At the time, she was playing Nami in the One Piece musical. The two were married on 7 November 2004.
