The Army of God war ein aus 10.000 Mitgliedern bestehender religiöser Orden, der von Takahashi Chogen gegründet wurde. Er wurde von „Salvation“, einem rivalisierenden religiösen Orden, als feindselig eingestuft. Der Glaubensgrundsatz der Army of God war die Erlösung der menschlichen Rasse. Dieses Vorhaben wurde in Einrichtungen, die sie selbst als „Domes“ bezeichnen, Schritt für Schritt umgesetzt. Ihr Plan war die Produktion chemischer Waffen, welche für sie „heilige Schätze“ für den kommenden „heiligen Krieg“ darstellten. Des Weiteren wollten sie die staatlichen Einrichtungen lahmlegen und die Kontrolle über Japan übernehmen. Dies wäre die zweite Terroristenattacke, bei der chemische Waffen benutzt werden, gewesen. Dieser Orden wurde jedoch im Alleingang von Hanafusa Hajime besiegt.
