Rina ist ein Mitglied des Musikclubs an ihrer Oberschule. Sie spielt Cello und bildet mit Sachi Koyoma, Hitomi und Matsumoto ein Streichquartett. Sie und Hitomi sind gut mit Sachi befreundet, weshalb die beiden nach Schulschluss natürlich auch mit ihr zusammen nach Hause gehen wollen. Sachi entschuldigt sich jedoch immer, weil sie lieber alleine nach Hause gehen möchte. Hitomi findet ihr Verhalten etwas seltsam, doch Rina bringt Verständnis auf und meint, dass Sachi einfach nur etwas Zeit für sich alleine braucht. Auch für Sachis etwas ungewöhnliche Beziehung mit Yuusuke Kijinami hat sie Verständnis. Sie findet den Gedanken, mit einem Jungen zusammen zu sein, obwohl man offiziell noch kein Paar ist, sehr aufregend.
